Academic Advising
Academic advising is an essential component of an undergraduate education. Academic advisors offer support and guidance and are valuable sources of information regarding course selection and the completion of academic goals.
The Academic Advising team at Northwestern Qatar implements best practices to support students through their academic journey. Students will receive frequent information and assistance with academic performance, planning and registration, graduation plan, and major/minor selection.
Students are expected to utilize the academic advising services available for them to succeed at Northwestern Qatar. Academic Advising expects students to be active and engaged in their learning process and to embrace the following practices:
- Reach out when you have questions regarding your academic planning
- Meet frequently to ask questions and learn about upcoming courses and offerings
- Rely on the advisor for accurate information about programs, policies, and processes
- Be aware of Northwestern Qatar’s undergraduate catalogue and degree requirements
