Student Position: Course Assistant - MIT398-Media Management-Fall 2024
Responsibilities:
- Assist in keeping careful records of student attendance
- Coordinating class communication
- Weekly monitoring the Canvas course for week-by week operations
- Helping with the management of team projects and assignments
- Updating Professor Lowe regarding class communication and feedback
- Helping guest managers for their class visits when needed
- Providing two (2) hours of office meeting time each week for students
- Manage the input of non-graded work
- Scanning, photocopying, and uploading course materials
- Organizing and distributing learning materials
- Other administrative or support functions as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Good academic, integrity, and conduct standing
- Must have previously completed the Media Management course with a grade of B+ or higher
- Good at organizing and managing projects
- Good time management and communication skills
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Qualified applicants will have successfully completed the course in an earlier semester of studies and earning a high score. Applicants should be highly organized in their work with good time management skills, prepared to support and mentor peers when requested in teamwork assignments, and able to handle routine administrative and logistical tasks. Class attendance is required. The professor will schedule periodic meetings, as well, when needed to prepare for sessions and assignments.
