Student Position: Course Assistant - JOUR 301
Class meets MW 10:00am-11:15am.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in keeping careful records of student attendance
- Mentorship of student peers in production skills: assist students with podcast and video assignments
- Manage the input of non-graded work
- Scanning, photocopying, and uploading course materials
- Scheduling student presentations
- Organizing and distributing learning materials
- Other administrative or support functions as assigned
- Provide feedback to Instructor on Course Development and Assessment based on previous experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- Prior enrollment in JOUR 301 (current senior standing)
- Good academic, integrity, and conduct standing
required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Ability to multitask, initiate and follow through on projects, plan ahead, and manage time
- Display strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of CANVAS
- Attention to detail
- Capacity to work professionally with peers
- Exemplary production skills
