Student Position: Department Assistant 2 - Peer Adviser (Fall 2024)
Responsibilities:
- Assist with academic advising workshops and events
- Assist advisers during new students’ orientation
- Assist with content creation for advising office
- Manage front desk
- Promote academic advising services and resources
- Support 1st year students transition into NUQ
- Support 2nd year students by sharing experiences
- Actively work on long/short term projects
- Attend the mandatory training sessions
- Successfully complete AI Canvas course
- Serve as a role model for academic integrity
- Successfully complete department assistants training
- Abide by and uphold FERPA
- Other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Junior or Senior
- CGPA >3.0
- Good academic standing
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrate an ability to multitask, work independently, initiate and follow-through on projects
- Individual must be able to plan and manage time
