Student Position: Peer Tutor 3
Responsibilities:
- Create initiatives/participate in promoting the Writing Center to the NU-Q community during Summer 2025 Term.
- Conduct one-on-one, synchronous writing tutoring sessions for students enrolled in NU-Q courses.
- Ability to co-conduct in-class workshops.
- Must be able to work in-person in the Writing Center.
- Other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Rising junior or rising senior.
- Must be in good academic standing with a 3.0 or higher term, major, distribution, and cumulative GPA.
- No pending academic integrity cases. Not on academic warning/probation.
- No code of conduct violations and in good standing with the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX Compliance.
- Enrolled for the full school year of the previous academic year, Fall 2024-Spring 2025, having previously successfully completed ENG 103_1 and ENG 103_2.
- Eligible for salary earnings based on the NU-Q Student Employment salary cap policy.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be self-driven and has native oral and written English proficiency
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent writing skills, including a clear understanding of grammar
- Exemplary ethics and integrity
