Student Position: Research Assistant
Updated advertisement: We are seeking a level 2 Research Assistant to assist with projects that explore the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the fields of Advertising, Public Relations, and Marketing Communication.
Responsibilities:
- Gathering relevant articles, industry reports, and case studies related to AI applications in Strategic Communication
- Collecting and verifying research data
- Assisting in the preparation of slide presentations
- Developing mini case studies
- Keeping meeting minutes
- Any other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Good academic standing; minimum of 3.5 GPA
- Sophomore or Junior
- First-year students can apply if they have necessary skills and background in AI
- Declared minor in Strategic Communication (StratCom)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior data/AI related courses
- Sophomore or Junior
- First-year students can apply: Only if student has demonstrable skills and necessary background in AI
- Completed at least 2 StratCom Minor courses
- Ability to work remotely during breaks, as permitted by NUQ
- Demonstrated interest in Artificial Intelligence
- A- or above in advanced StratCom courses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to deliver on time
- Availability to work 10 or more hours per week
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with faculty supervision in a collegial manner
- Demonstrated ability to follow-through on projects, to proactively plan, and to manage time-sensitive matters
