Student Position: Research Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Collect data from various social media profiles and pages (including screenshots, URLs, and descriptions of posts)
- Archive and organize data using spreadsheets and databases
- Contribute to the development of research strategies and techniques
- Other administrative tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience as an RA doing related archival tasks
- Good academic standing; minimum of 3.0 GPA
- Junior or Senior
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Substantial coursework or experience in the field
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to interpret the required materials and to perform successful research activities
- Sound administrative experience and familiarity with the subject matter
- High attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work alongside faculty in a collegial manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to follow-through on projects, to proactively plan, and to manage time sensitive matters
- Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft suite, including the ability to effectively use Zoom and CANVAS
