Student Position: Research Assistant 4
This is a temporary, project-based role focused on editing short media content. Two (2) student editors will be hired for this project.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and edit rough cuts of short videos.
- Refine rough cuts into fine cuts based on notes and feedback.
- Edit and mix sound to enhance the overall quality of each project.
- Ensure smooth pacing and cohesive visual and audio flow.
- Prepare and export final deliverables according to technical specifications.
- Maintain organized project files and communicate progress regularly with supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Good academic standing
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong editing skills with demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Solid understanding of sound editing and integrating sound design into cuts.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and incorporate feedback.
- Attention to detail, with a strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and narrative flow.
- Motion graphics skills (e.g., using After Effects) are preferred but not required.
- Must be based in Doha and available for in-person editing for the entire summer (no remote work).
