Student Position: Research Assistant 4
Responsibilities:
- Perform complex research tasks under the general direction of a supervisor
- Write and edit materials for publication and presentation
- Analyze and interpret data; perform statistical analysis; conduct interviews
- Assist in designing and managing research projects
- Manage and coordinate multiple projects in various stages of development
- Help prepare IRB submissions/protocols
- Assist with the dissemination of tasks/responsibilities to other NU-Q student employees
- Other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Good academic standing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with statistics, background, computer programming skills
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Substantial coursework or experience in the field
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to interpret relevant materials and to perform research activities successfully
- Robust administrative experience and undergraduate-level familiarity with the subject matter
- High attention to detail, excellent communication skills and ability to work alongside faculty in a collegial manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to follow-through on projects, to proactively plan, and to manage time sensitive matters
- Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft suite, including the ability to effectively use Zoom and CANVAS
