Student Position: Course Assistant 3
Responsibilities:
- Arrive 5–10 minutes before each class session begins.
- Manage attendance records.
- Serve as a liaison between students and the professor and communicate important course updates to students.
- Post assignment reminders and track assignment submissions.
- Assist the professor with in-class activities,
- Document class activities and provide feedback to the instructor on course design.
- Scan, photocopy, and upload course materials.
- Mentor peers in library research, production, or other academic skills.
- Perform other administrative or support tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Good academic standing, integrity, and conduct.
- Successful completion of ENGLISH 103-2: First-Year Writing course.
- Availability to attend classes on Sunday and Tuesday: 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to multitask, initiate and follow-through on projects, plan ahead, and manage time effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Professional collaboration with peers and instructor
- Proficiency in using CANVAS
- Exemplary study habits and research/production skills
