Student Position: Course Assistant 3 - MIT 398: Digital Diplomacy
Sunday-Tuesday 10:00am-11:15pm
Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support: Assist the professor in organizing and facilitating discussions, case studies, and interactive activities focused on digital diplomacy.
- Content Preparation: Help prepare multimedia materials, such as slides, video clips, and digital tools, to enhance classroom engagement.
- Student Engagement: Provide guidance to students on assignments, projects, and research related to topics such as social media's role in diplomacy, public diplomacy strategies, and digital tools for international communication.
- Research Assistance: Conduct background research and gather resources to support course content and real-world case studies.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain attendance records, monitor assignment submissions, and assist in coordinating guest speaker sessions or online webinars.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Good academic, integrity, and conduct standing
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to multitask, initiate and follow-through on projects, plan ahead, and manage time.
- Display strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of CANVAS
- Attention to detail
- Capacity to work professionally with peers
Experience:
- Prior experience in teaching, tutoring, or academic support is preferred but not required.
- Understanding of current events, international relations, and trends in digital diplomacy.
