Student Position: Course Assistant 4
This role is for Fall 2026 course MIT 190: Media Construction
Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support: Assist the professor during class by helping facilitate activities, discussions, workshops, and hands-on exercises.
- Course Preparation: Help prepare and organize course materials, including presentations, handouts, multimedia resources, and equipment as needed.
- Student Support: Provide guidance to students on course assignments and projects, answer general course-related questions, and direct students to appropriate resources when needed.
- Administrative Support: Assist with attendance, monitor assignment submissions through Canvas, communicate course updates, and help coordinate classroom logistics.
- Research & Creative Assistance: Conduct background research, locate relevant resources, and provide support for course-related creative and production activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Good academic, integrity, and conduct standing
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask, take initiative, and follow through on projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Canvas and basic digital productivity tools.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with faculty and peers.
- Prior experience in teaching, tutoring, media production, performance, or academic support is preferred but not required.
