Course Assistant for MIT385 - Advanced Sound Production
Responsibilities:
- Schedule equipment booking and prop room access with Production
- Book labs, studios, and facilitate filming spaces on campus
- Basic Camera and Light Operating in class
- Scheduling and coordinating student projects and timing student presentations
- Keep records of student attendance
- Scanning, photocopying, and uploading course materials to Canvas
- Arrive 30 minutes early to setup classroom & 30 minutes after class to wrap up prepare materials
- Ensure students return equipment and/or props and tidy up after class
- Dedicate an extra 30min per week to meet with Instructor or prepare materials (may be remote)
- Provide feedback to Instructor on Course Development and Assessment based on previous experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- Good academic, integrity, and conduct
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to multitask, initiate and follow-through on projects, plan ahead, and manage time.
- Completed camera training
- Knowledge of CANVAS
- Capacity to work professionally with peers
