Student Position: Course Assistant 4
Course Assistant for MIT 243 - Principles of Characterization.
Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support: Assist the professor with in-class activities, including group discussions, media analysis exercises, and technology setup.
- Schedule equipment booking and prop room access with Production
- Basic Camera Operating in class
- Assist students with basic filming (if needed)
- Scheduling and coordinating student projects and timing student presentations
- Assist in keeping records of student attendance
- Scanning, photocopying, and uploading course materials to Canvas
- Arrive 30 minutes early to setup classroom
- Ensure students return props and tidy up after class
- Dedicate 1 extra hour per week to meet with Instructor (may be remote)
- Provide feedback to Instructor on Course Development and Assessment based on previous experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- Good academic, integrity, and conduct standing
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to multitask, initiate and follow-through on projects, plan ahead, and manage time.
- Completed camera training
- Knowledge of CANVAS
- Capacity to work professionally with peers
