Student Position: Course Assistant 4 - Directing the Camera
Two ideal candidates will be hired for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the professor during class by helping facilitate activities, discussions, workshops, and hands-on exercises.
- Help prepare and organize course materials, including presentations, handouts, multimedia resources, and equipment as needed.
- Provide guidance to students on course assignments and projects, answer general course-related questions, and direct students to appropriate resources when needed. Support students with all technical aspects of the course-- editing software, camera, lighting, and sound. Assist with managing actors for the course.
- Assist with attendance, monitor assignment submissions through Canvas, communicate course updates, and help coordinate classroom logistics
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidate should have taken Directing the Camera.
required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, as well as cinematography and directing.
- Ability to multitask, initiate and follow through on projects, plan ahead, and manage time
- Display strong interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Capacity to work professionally with peers
- Knowledge of CANVAS
- Exemplary study habits and research/production skills
