Student Position: Course Assistant 4 - Directing the Camera
Two ideal candidates will be hired for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Support the instruction of Directing the Camera
- Providing production technical support - camera, sound, grip equipment, as well as Adobe Premiere editing support
- Photo copying, obtaining resources from the library, and assisting with the dissemination of course materials. The latter will include screening visual materials
- Assist in keeping careful records of student attendance
- Manage the input of non-graded work
- Scheduling student presentations
- Organizing and distributing learning materials
- Other administrative or support functions as assigned
- Mentorship of student peers in library research, production, or other study skills
Minimum Qualifications:
- The student must be available 30-minutes before the start of class time and up to thirty minutes after class has concluded.
- Required to be available two Saturdays (all day, 8:30am-6pm), currently scheduled for November 22 and 29. (This is subject to change.) On these two Saturdays, capstone of the course will be conducted.
- Candidate should have taken Directing the Camera and/or Cinematography. Documentary Production will be considered.

- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, as well as cinematography and directing.
- Ability to multitask, initiate and follow through on projects, plan ahead, and manage time

- Exemplary study habits and research/production skills
