Student Position: The Media Majlis Department Assistant 2
The Media Majlis Museum is hiring student content creators to produce short-form video and social content for Instagram and TikTok in support of a major upcoming exhibition. This is a hands-on production role with daily output.

Key Responsibilities:
- Research and pitch content concepts tied to the exhibition, its themes, and museum programming
- Film short-form vertical video on location at the museum and across Education City, primarily on phone
- Edit video with fast turnaround, including same-day edits during opening week and event coverage
- Track daily trends across TikTok and Instagram in the Qatar market and flag formats, audio, and creators worth acting on
- Adapt trending formats to museum content without losing institutional voice
- Monitor daily analytics (reach, watch time, shares, saves, follower growth) and report weekly on what performed and why
- Support community management: comments, replies, story interactions, and reposting user content
- Capture coverage of opening events, tours, talks, and public programs
- Work with the Digital Multimedia Specialist on scheduling, approvals, and content calendar
qualification:
- Current NU-Q student in good academic standing
- Demonstrated ability to make short-form video that gets shared. A portfolio, personal or client account, or class work is required with the application
- Strong working knowledge of Qatar's social media landscape: which creators, formats, and references circulate locally, and why
- Understands what drives shares and saves, not just views
- Comfortable filming on phone, appearing on camera, and editing in CapCut, Premiere Pro, or equivalent
- Able to read platform analytics and explain what the numbers mean
- Arabic and English preferred. Fluency in both is a strong advantage
- Available for some evening and weekend shifts during opening week and key events
- Self-directed, fast, and confident pitching ideas rather than waiting for assignments
