Student Position: Production Assistant 2
Responsibilities:
- Film and edit short-form video content (primarily vertical) for Instagram Reels
- Follow provided scripts and storyboards to capture a consistent tone and quality content
- Capture footage for events, student activities, and daily campus life to create authentic, dynamic footage
- Collaborate with the production coordinator to brainstorm, plan, and pitch content ideas
- Assist with pre-production (on tasks such as scheduling, finding and coordinating with actors, and organising shoot logistics
- Set up and break down basic gear, including lights, microphones, and tripods
- Help maintain and contribute to the department’s content calendar by aligning video projects with key university moments and student interests
Minimum Qualifications:
- Successful completion of MIT-190 and authorised to operate basic university-provided filming equipment
- Strong interest in social media trends, video storytelling, and campus life
- Familiarity with mobile editing apps (e.g., Canva, Cap Cut, Adobe) or basic desktop software
